And so you enter the forgotten sanctuary feeling skitso all the while
Because those pyas voices are whispering to you as you walk down that shadowy isle.
There, the alter looms before you like some cold stone hearted God
And you tremble where you stand because you know that you can’t hide.
Dirty sinner dirty sinner don’t you dare turn your eyes away
Look upon the gates of heaven which you’ll never see again.
Taunting and tormenting you with your own demonic mistakes,
Are the angels that once watched over you before your hellish fall from grace.
The Baptism pool is empty now, it’s holy water drained away
You’ll never bathe in there again so choke back those falsely cried tears
Glittering on a holy stand, the collection plate winks knowingly at you.
Did you ever offer up your change to the holy house of God?
“Somehow, I doubt it”
And in the quire loft the voices whisper, “God is our refuge and strength.”
So stand at stiff attention and listen, engrave it in your mind.
Light the candles along the wall, can you feel the spirits rising?
Your soul ain’t pure just yet now honey, so stay a little longer.
Can I get a haliluia!

Repent for your sins down on your knees and pray for God’s forgiveness
And his mighty wrath will crash down around you, screaming in your ears.
Grab the stick and light the wick and hold the candle to the wall.

And watch the flames consume that sanctuary of false smiles and lying tongues
Stand in glory atop the holy alter and preach your sermon to a burning congregation.
